Help

This page covers how to use each tool in the MyIPShow Android app, what to do when a result looks wrong, and how to reach support if something still doesn't work.

If you're looking for the same tools on the web instead of the app, they're all available for free at myipshow.com.

Getting Started

Open the app and your public IP address loads automatically on the home screen - tap it to copy it to your clipboard. From there, pick any tool from the home screen to run a check. No account or signup is needed for any tool.

How to Use Each Tool

  • IP Check: Enter any public IPv4 or IPv6 address for a full snapshot - approximate location, ISP, network, and connection type - in one page. Leave the field on your own IP for a self-check.
  • IP Lookup: Enter any public IPv4 or IPv6 address to see its approximate location, ISP, and network details. Leave the field on your own IP for a self-check.
  • VPN Check: Enter an IP address to see whether it belongs to a known VPN, proxy, or datacenter network. Run it before and after connecting to your VPN to confirm it changed your IP.
  • Proxy Check: Checks whether a connection is routed through an HTTP proxy, SOCKS proxy, or web anonymizer.
  • DNS Lookup: Enter a domain name and pick a record type (A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT, NS, SOA, CAA) to see its current DNS records.
  • Internet Speed Test: Tap Start to measure download speed, upload speed, latency, and jitter on your current connection.
  • Ping Tool: Enter a domain or IP address to test whether the server responds and how long that response takes.
  • User Agent Check: Shows your device's user agent string automatically - no input needed.
  • Robots.txt Analyzer: Enter any website's domain to read its robots.txt file and see which crawlers are allowed or blocked.

Troubleshooting

  • A result won't load: Check your internet connection first, then try switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data.
  • A field says Not available: The upstream data source has no listing for that IP or domain. This is shown as-is rather than filled in with a guess.
  • Speed test result looks too low or too high: Other apps or downloads running in the background, or being on a shared or congested network, can affect the result. Close background apps and try again.
  • VPN Check still shows your real network after connecting: Give your VPN app a few seconds to fully connect, then re-run the check. Some VPN apps show "Connected" before the tunnel is fully active.
  • App feels slow after an update: Try closing and reopening the app. If the problem continues, email support with your device model and Android version.

Data & Privacy

Lookups are processed live and are not tied back to your identity or saved as a history. For the full detail on what is collected and why, see the Privacy Policy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why is my IP address or tool result taking a while to load?

Most tools query a live data source the moment you open them, so results depend on your own connection speed. If a result never loads, check your internet connection and try again, or switch from Wi-Fi to mobile data (or the reverse) to rule out a network-specific block.

Why did the VPN Check or Proxy Check say Not available?

This happens when the upstream network database has no listing for that IP address, or a free lookup allowance was reached. The app never guesses a result: when data is missing, it shows Not available and the verdict reads Cannot be judged instead of a false answer.

Do I need to sign up to use MyIPShow?

No. There is no account, login, or email required for any tool in the app. Open the app, pick a tool, and get your result.

Why did I see an ad in the app?

Core tools are free to use. Some advanced tools may show a short video ad after the first use in a session, which is what keeps the app free with no signup and no subscription.

Does MyIPShow store my IP address or search history?

No. Lookups are processed live and are not saved as a history tied to you. See the Privacy Policy for the full detail on what is and is not collected.

How do I report a bug or request a new tool?

Email myipshowofficial@gmail.com with the tool name, what you expected, and what happened instead. Screenshots help a lot for visual issues.
