MyIPShow is a free set of eight network tools — IP lookup, VPN and proxy detection, ping, DNS records, speed testing, user agent and robots.txt checks — built to answer the questions that come up when a connection stops behaving the way it should. No accounts, no clutter, and no bouncing between five different sites to get one answer.
This page covers who builds the site, exactly where each tool's data comes from, what gets collected while you use it, and how accurate you should actually expect the results to be.
Meet the Creator
Pavel Ahmed — Founder of MyIPShow, based in Kushtia, Bangladesh.
I have spent years dealing with the practical side of home networking as part of running a gaming and streaming setup — checking ping and latency before matches, chasing down packet loss, working out whether a slowdown came from the router, the Wi-Fi, or the ISP, and rebuilding connections that dropped mid-stream. That repeated, hands-on troubleshooting is what shaped MyIPShow.
So I built it as one place for the tools I kept reaching for anyway — an IP check, a ping, a DNS lookup, a speed test — aimed at gamers, streamers, and anyone else who just wants a straight answer about their connection.
Every tool here is tested on my own connection, router, and devices before it goes live — real hardware and a real ISP, not a staging environment.
What MyIPShow Offers
MyIPShow does more than show your IP address. It is a suite of eight networking tools built for developers, system administrators, gamers, and everyday internet users:
No Accounts. And What I Actually Collect.
There are no logins and no signups. Every tool on this site works without creating a profile or handing over personal details; I never ask you to identify yourself, and I do not sell your data to anyone.
To be straightforward about what is collected: MyIPShow uses Google Analytics to understand which tools people use and how pages perform, and Google services on this site set cookies when a page loads. That means anonymous usage data such as pages visited, approximate region, and device and browser type is recorded. If you would rather not allow that, blocking cookies for this site in your browser, or using its tracking protection, takes effect before any cookie is set.
What I don't do is tie the addresses or domains you look up to your identity, build an advertising profile from your lookups, or pass that information to third parties. For the full detail, including how to control cookies, see the Privacy Policy.
Where the Data Comes From
Different tools draw on different sources, queried live at the moment you run them:
• Your own connection — the address, network, and location shown on the home page come from Cloudflare's own data about your request, read by a Cloudflare Worker I run myself. No outside service is asked, and that answer is never cached.
• An address you type in — the network behind it, meaning the provider, the organization, and the AS number, is answered by Cloudflare Radar on my own account. The finer location detail — city, region, postcode, and coordinates — is answered by ipwho.is. Both are asked at the same moment. Radar carries no city data of its own, so when ipwho.is has spent its daily free allowance the network is still named while the city rows read "Not available". This powers IP Lookup, Proxy Check, and VPN Check.
• DNS records — DNS Lookup sends live queries to public resolvers and authoritative name servers, so you see what those servers are returning right now rather than a cached copy.
• Connectivity & performance measurements — Ping Tool and Internet Speed Test measure response time and throughput against test servers at the moment you run them, which is why results reflect your connection's condition in that instant. Ping Tool's timing requests go straight from your browser to the host you name, and that name is resolved through Google's public resolver at dns.google. Internet Speed Test moves real data to and from my own Cloudflare Worker at speed.myipshow.com, falling back to Cloudflare's public speed test endpoint at speed.cloudflare.com when mine cannot be reached.
• Live file retrieval — Robots.txt Analyzer fetches the target site's actual robots.txt file and parses it in your browser. Most sites do not let a page on another domain read their files, so when the direct read is refused the request is retried once through the free public AllOrigins relay, which then sees the address you asked about. Anything you paste into the tool yourself never leaves your browser.
• Nothing leaves your browser — User Agent Check reads the user agent string your own browser reports. It makes no external call at all.
An Honest Note on Accuracy
IP locations are estimates, not GPS coordinates. They usually resolve to your internet provider's facility rather than your actual position, and a VPN or mobile data connection can shift the result by hundreds of miles. Treat geolocation output as a general indication of where a connection enters the network, not as a precise location — and read the notes on each tool page for what its particular results can and cannot tell you. When a lookup comes back with no network name at all, the tools say so rather than filling the gap with a guess: the row reads "Not available" and the verdict reads "Cannot be judged".
