MyIPShow is a one-person site, built and run by me, Pavel Ahmed, in Kushtia, Bangladesh. This Cookie Policy lists every cookie and browser storage item the site uses, what sets it, what it is for, and how you can control it. It works alongside the Privacy Policy, which covers personal data more broadly.
The Short Version
• Nothing non-essential is set until you accept. A cookie notice appears on your first visit, and analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you choose "Accept All".
• Reject Non-Essential keeps them off. Choosing that option means no Google Analytics or Google AdSense cookies are stored on your device.
• You can change your mind at any time. Reopen the notice with the Cookie Settings button in the footer.
• No tracking profiles are built from your lookups. The addresses and domains you type into a tool are never linked to you or used for advertising.

What Are Cookies and Local Storage?
A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to store, and it gets sent back to that site or a third party on each visit. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps small pieces of data on your device but never sends them automatically — something on the page has to read them deliberately.
Both are used for ordinary technical reasons: remembering a preference, keeping a session alive, or letting an analytics tool count visits without identifying anyone. Neither is a program, and neither can run on your device or read files you have not given to the browser.
What Cookies Does MyIPShow Use?
Every cookie and stored item the site uses is listed below. Nothing is present that is not on this list.

Essential items keep the site working (theme, consent state, bot protection) and are always active. Analytics and Advertising cookies are only set after you accept the cookie notice. Reject Non-Essential blocks the last four rows completely.
Why Does MyIPShow Use Cookies?
• To remember your preferences. The site stays in the light or dark theme you chose without asking again on every page.
• To record your cookie choice. The consent decision has to be stored somewhere, or the notice would appear on every single page load.
• To measure which tools people use. Google Analytics reports traffic in aggregate — which pages get visited, how often, and roughly what kind of device. Individual visitors are not identified.
• To serve advertising. The site is free and funded by ads. Google AdSense uses cookies to show ads that are more likely to be relevant, and to avoid showing the same ad repeatedly.
• To protect the site. Cloudflare's bot-detection cookie helps filter out automated traffic before it reaches the tools, which keeps them fast for everyone else.
What About Third-Party Cookies?
Two third parties set cookies through this site: Google (Analytics and AdSense) and Cloudflare (bot protection). Each operates under its own privacy policy:
• Google — How Google uses cookies, plus How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
• Cloudflare — Cloudflare Cookie Policy.
When Google Adsense shows a personalized ad, other participating ad networks may also set cookies through the ad slot. Google maintains a current list at the Advertising Technologies page. Opting out of personalized ads at Google, or blocking third-party cookies in your browser, stops this route.
How Long Do They Last?
Session cookies disappear when you close the browser. Persistent cookies stay until their expiry date or until you clear them. The longest-lived cookie on this site is _ga at 2 years; the shortest is __cf_bm at 30 minutes. Local storage items persist until you clear your browser data or the site resets them.
Third-party vendors set their own retention periods, and Google's are published in its cookie documentation. The exact lifetime of an individual cookie is visible in your browser's developer tools, under Application → Cookies, on any page of this site.
How Can You Control Cookies?
You have four options, and any of them works on its own:
• Use the Cookie Settings button in the footer. Reopens the notice so you can switch between Accept All and Reject Non-Essential at any time. This is the fastest way, and it takes effect immediately.
• Turn off personalized advertising at Google. Visit Google My Ad Center to control which ads you see across Google's network. This does not stop AdSense from setting a cookie, but it stops the ad from being personalized.
• Opt out of analytics. Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to exclude your browser from Google Analytics across all sites, not just this one.
• Use your browser's cookie settings. Every major browser lets you block third-party cookies, block all cookies, or delete cookies for a specific site. Blocking all cookies on this site will not break the tools themselves, but it will stop the theme preference from being remembered.
For third-party ad cookies specifically, the industry opt-out pages at aboutads.info and optout.networkadvertising.org cover dozens of participating networks at once.
How Does Consent Work Here?
On your first visit, a cookie notice appears before any non-essential cookie is set. Nothing outside the Essential list is stored until you make a choice.
• Accept All — analytics and advertising cookies are enabled, and the choice is stored so the notice does not appear again.
• Reject Non-Essential — analytics and advertising cookies stay switched off. Google Analytics may still receive a cookieless page-view signal that carries no identifier for anyone; the advertising cookies never fire.
• Change your mind — the Cookie Settings button in the footer reopens the notice at any time. Withdrawing consent takes effect immediately and does not retroactively affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal.
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, this notice is how consent required by the GDPR is collected, and it is served through Google's consent management platform for AdSense.
How Does This Policy Change?
If a new tool adds a cookie, a third party changes, or a vendor updates its retention period, this page is updated and the "Last updated" date at the top changes. Material changes will be visible here rather than applied quietly.
